Life Update!

Hola que tal? This is the greeting that is normally used in southern Spain. It basically means hey how are you! I know I haven't been keeping up the blog at all but I decided to do a all in one post of my recent ventures. I've bee unexpectedly busy since I've gotten here and classes haven't been exactly facil (easy in spanish lol). I have classes everyday and they are all in Spanish. Literally none of my professors speak english. Also my walk to class is 30 minutes. You read correctly. My commute is 3 miles for each time I go to school. I have been traveling almost every single weekend. My travels in Spain have included Sevilla, Cordoba, Nerja, Toledo and Madrid. I've been horseback riding and hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Outside of Spain I have been to the territory of Gibraltar (UK) and Venice, Italy. Tomorrow I'm heading to Morocco for the weekend. I know this post was pretty much a stream of consciousness however I just wanted to give an update. I'm including some of the MANY pictures I've taken this weekend.

Hace Mucho Tiempo

Vamos a ver he hecho muchas cosas este ano.
OK, it's been one year since I put anything on this site but I am back. It was an interesting year to say the least. I'm writing this in Spanish because my English grammar is terrible now. I never wanted to ignore this blog but life happened and although there were many times I thought about the blog I never decided to write anything. Some people may know that I'm in Spain for the semester and I'm studying the language and culture. This is something that I've always wanted to do. My goal was to be fluent in Spanish by the time I return to the United States but I I am aware now that fluidity is a mountain and although I'm climbing this mountain I still I have a time long until I am fluent. Let's see I've done many things this year. I have taken some of the most difficult courses in my life. Also I have found some of the best friends of my life. I've got the internships for summer that I wanted most. I spent the summer doing research on cancer. I did this in the Chicago area and I really liked the experience. I learned a lot about cancer and about myself. I found that I want to live in the Midwest for medical school because I like to go home any time I want. I miss my family and my younger brother and just in general the familiarity, people and nature of the Midwest. I will put some of the photos here for you to see. Also will put more blog posts on Spain and Europe in this page. See you later!!
