Merry Christmas!

Because my very first post happens to be on Christmas, I thought I'd do a Christmas recap and mention a few of my favorite things! 

After helping decorate the house, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. My mom got the idea of putting Christmas trees in every room of the house, after we visited the Biltmore Estate about 10 years ago. This is an example of a dining room there.

Though the idea calls for a more taxing decorating process, I love the character the trees bring to each room. We finally finished the last touches of our holiday decor on Tuesday (a little late I know). My mom had it in her head that decorating could not commence until sister and I were home from school. But, I digress. My favorite room this year is definitely the dining room. I love the warm tones and the fact that we actually use the room during the holidays. Does anyone else not use their dining room 98 percent of the year??

My favorite gift is probably either some of the jewelry I received from J Crew, New York and Company and Bauble Bar, or, my Tory Burch Reva flats.

My favorite moment this Christmas was going to a Christmas Eve service at church last night. It is always important to keep the true meaning of Christmas in mind. I also really enjoyed opening presents with the family and seeing their reactions. I love that we catch it all on video. And, I always like going over to my grandma's house and talking and catching up with her. What were your favorite things this holiday season?
